For the attention of Russian citizens located in the Republic of Mauritius
In accordance with the decision of the Government of the Republic of Mauritius a nationwide lockdown was imposed at 6 a.m. on the 8th of March 2021, which will last throughout March 25, 2021.
Prohibition was imposed on holding mass event. Cinemas, markets, hairdressing salons, places of entertainment, supermarkets, malls, gyms, restaurants, bakeries and food courts will be closed for visitors. Furthermore, the operation of public transport system was stopped and the access to public places was closed.
Health-care facilities, fire services, police, petrol stations, security services and pharmacies will continue operating as a matter of course.
From March 11, 2021, the access to supermarkets, malls, bakeries, butcher shops and banks will be provided in accordance with the alphabetical order.
For the time being, there are 28 local COVID-19 cases registered on the island.
