Article by H.E. Mr. Konstantin Klimovskiy, Russian Ambassador in Mauritius "Letter to the President of “Democracy watch Mauritius” Dr. Michael Atchia"

The article by the President of “Democracy watch Mauritius” Dr. Michael Atchia, pathetically entitled "Open letter to the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Vladimir Putin" that was published in the newspaper “L’Express” is a vivid example of how a person proceeding from good intentions, but being completely influenced by the fakes of the Western media and Western propaganda based on lies, insinuations and provocations, completely loses his bearings and expresses thoughts, not only contradicting the real state of affairs, but also common sense.
At the very beginning of the appeal the dear author, as a head of a public organization, declares: "As a group, we condemn aggression and any action risking nuclear disaster."
Immediately there is a feeling that if his organization is concerned about these issues, then he is addressing his inquiries to the wrong place. If we are talking about aggression, then it is necessary to appeal to Joe Biden, President of the country that has carried out 33 acts of aggression over the past 70 years, including the bombing of Yugoslavia, where NATO countries used banned weapons in the form of low-enriched uranium, and the country, which has been preparing aggression against Russia from the territory of Ukraine since 2014.
If the risk of a nuclear catastrophe is the matter of concern, then it is also to be redirected to Mr. Biden and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who, at the behest of Washington, has been shelling the Zaporozhye NPP for several weeks, trying to repeat a catastrophe like the one that occurred at the Fukushima nuclear power plant.
It is only the presence of our military forces and air defense systems near the NPP that allows keeping the situation under control for now. The United States, which is far from this area, is cynically and openly trying to provoke a nuclear incident with the hands of the Ukrainian military. Thank God that the Europeans have woken up after their long sleep. The first one to wake up was French President Emmanuel Macron, who realized that if the Ukrainians managed to damage the cooling system of the nuclear power plant with the help of American missiles, the nuclear cloud would inevitably reach the French borders. Thanks to the joint efforts of Russia and a few European countries, it became possible to agree on a visit to the NPP by IAEA experts.
The author talks long and persistently about the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster in 1986. And who is he telling this to? He is telling it to the Russians who survived this catastrophe and still remember well its harmful consequences. But the leaders of some states that have turned into marionettes of the United States have a bad memory. The latest example is the speech of the Prime Minister of Japan at the annual Peace Memorial Ceremony in remembrance of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In his speech, he was afraid to even mention who bears the guilt for this monstrous crime against humanity! But this is the USA again, the only country in the world that has ever resorted to nuclear weapons! Moreover, at that moment these two Japanese cities did not pose any military threat to Washington. The cynical and criminal purpose of these strikes was to demonstrate the power of the United States and intimidate the USSR and other states.
I cannot accept Dr. Atchia’s unfounded accusations that Russia is killing innocent civilians. No, the Russian army is doing its best to avoid civilian casualties, so the military operation lasts longer than desirable. But the crimes of the Kiev regime and, above all, the use of civilian objects as a protective shield and the killing of civilians were confirmed even by Amnesty International. In addition, Ukrainian neo-Nazis violate the Geneva Conventions, torturing and humiliating Russian prisoners of war, bombing hospitals, schools, and residential buildings in the cities of Donbass. All evidence of their crimes has already been collected and documented, and in September the first trial over neo-Nazis will take place, by analogy to the Nuremberg Tribunal over Nazi Germany after the end of World War II. I hope that after these revealing trials, many public figures and journalists around the world will feel ashamed that they willingly or unwillingly contributed to the spread of lies against Russia and encouraged the crimes of the Kiev regime, which acted on the direct orders of the Anglo-Saxons and with the shameful acquiescence of the European Union.
As for the reference to the green agenda in the open letter by Dr. Atchia it is completely incomprehensible. Russia supported the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement and assumed certain obligations resulting from them. But Western Europe seems to have quickly forgotten about its promises and is already going to return to using coal! That is indeed “sic transit gloria mundi”!
In conclusion, the author suggests that all other states in the world write the same appeals to the President of Russia. I wonder which states he means if 2/3 of the countries of the world, where 80% of the world's population lives, refused to support the aggressive anti-Russian actions of the United States, Great Britain, and their allies. Only 54 UN countries voted for a statement condemning the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine during the vote on August 25 (this is almost three times less than in March when 141 countries were forced to condemn Russia under the heavy pressure from Washington). Today, everything fell into place, and the motives of Russia's forced actions, which is now holding out against the entire collective West, are clear to everyone who wanted to understand the situation. Most countries of the world advocate a multipolar world where there will be no hegemony of Washington, London, or Brussels, where interstate relations will be built on the basis of respect and reciprocal consideration of interests. And it is no coincidence that more and more countries declare their desire to join the BRICS. Turkey and Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran, Algeria and Argentina are among the first candidates. And in total, representatives of 13 countries took part in the June summit of the "Five" in Beijing (where, in addition to the actual summit, a business forum and a meeting in the BRICS Plus format were also held). These countries were Algeria, Argentina, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Senegal, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Fiji, and Ethiopia. Previously, Mexico, Tajikistan, Turkey, and a few other countries were among the invited participants.
And in conclusion, I want to assure dear Dr. Atchia that in my country, where 27 million people gave their lives for the liberation of Europe from Nazism and fascism, everyone knows perfectly well what the horrors of war are. That is why we were forced to launch a military operation aimed at denazification and demilitarization of Ukraine, which the West turned into a springboard for attacking Russia that dared to openly speak out against Washington's omnipotence and the imposition of Western liberal pseudo-values on us. It was a preventive operation in order to forestall aggression against Russia and all its goals will be achieved.
