Mauritian newspaper “L'Express”

In the issue of April 24, 2019 of one of the leading Mauritian Newspapers “L'Express” an interview of the Russian Ambassador to Mauritius
H.E. K.Klimovskiy was published.

In the interview, the Ambassador gave information about the first Russia-Africa Summit which will be held in Sochi this year, stressed the significant contribution of the USSR and Russia to the decolonization process, thanks to which the peoples of Asia and Africa gained independence, condemned the post-colonial policy of the Great Britain, which has not yet returned to Mauritius the Chagos archipelago in violation of all norms of International Law and deported its inhabitants from their legitimate territory in the 1960s.

The head of the Russian diplomatic mission spoke about the main directions of Russian-Mauritian cooperation, gave details on the problem of non-recognition of of diplomas of graduates from Russian medical universities by the Mauritian Medical Council, and shared his vision of prospects of increasing the tourist flow from Russia to Mauritius.
