On the publication in «L’Express»

On the 31st of January 2018, «L’Express» published an article of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Mauritius Mr. K.Klimovskiy «Erwin Rommel was part of Hitler’s machine».

In response to an article that was published earlier by an Italian author, describing in enthusiastic and positive tones the personality of E.Rommel, the Russian Ambassador strictly qualifies E.Rommel as one of the combat nazi generals who participated in massive deaths of allies troops during the World War II, among which there were Mauritian soldiers as well. Mr. K.Klimovskiy calls to pay special attention to the Resolution № A/RES/72/156 adopted on the19th of December 2017 entitled «Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance».
