Performances of the Moscow State Academic Theatre of Dance "Gzhel"
Two concerts of the Moscow State Academic Theater of Dance «Gzhel» were held on April 15-16, 2025 with the support of the Russian Embassy in Mauritius and the Moscow Government, dedicated to the Independence Day of Mauritius and the 57th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries.
The theater is famous for its virtuoso performance, fascinating choreography based on the traditions of Russian culture, using elements of folk rituals and fairy tales.
With a full house, our renowned ensemble performed on the island for the first time. The Russian dance, Russian costume, and the skills of our dancers were the first face-to-face experience for many of our compatriots and local residents.
The Moscow government delegation, during their visit to Mauritius, told about Moscow as a major cultural, commercial, and scientific center. And the performance of «Gzhel» is a cultural bridge connecting us across the ocean.
