Reception on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Russia’s Constitution

On 20 December 2013 the Embassy of Russia in Mauritius organized a reception in honour of the 20th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

The reception gathered the Mauritian public figures, activists of the Russian-speaking community, graduates of Soviet and Russian institutes and universities, representatives of the Mauritian-Russian Friendship and Culture Association (MAURUSS).

The guests were welcomed by Ambassador Vyacheslav NIKIFOROV. During the reception the guests were informed on the history of the adoption of the Russia’s Fundamental law, its role in shaping the new Russian statehood, establishment and development of federalism and consolidation of the legal basis of our country’s life.
